This Saturday at 7 PM We have John Pettet sharing with us: Army Chaplain colonel John Pettet retired from active duty in January 2010.

John holds a Doctor of Divinity from Covington theological Seminary, Masters of Theology form International Institute. He was commissioned in January. 1985, as a military Chaplain with continuing Military education completing his Command General Staff Officers Course. With a short time in the Marine Corp., John served more that 26 years with his most rewarding assignments with joint Special Operations Command at for Brag, North Carolina. John then Deployed with special Operations Command as a Joint Task Force Command Chaplain during combat operations against enemies of the United States for Which he received a Bronze Star from Commanding Major General Stanley McChrystal.

John Pastored Two Baptist Churches, one in WA and one in AZ and was interim pastor while in North Carolina. John looks forward to continuing to support the active duty, reserves, and retired war fighters. John wants to bring a real word of encouragement this Saturday night, he has been coming to our home church for about a month.
